Happy Holidays

I've been yarn shopping this morning online, so thought I'd leave a post here while I was at it.

Nothing to report. All is well.

I've been doing this particular genre of collage for 3 years now...which is amazing, considering how I usually/used to jump around so much between things. And I'll be continuing on for the foreseeable future.

One thing I can comment on is that this time of year, as the days continue to shorten toward the Winter Solstice, in previous years I would not be excited about the return of the light, and lengthening days. But this year, for the first time, I am. It's like a shift in overall attitude away from the dark and toward the light.

I went to our local Fortuna Community Dinner for Thanksgiving this year, for the first time, and it was a lovely, relaxed event. I'll go again for Christmas, and will continue this new-to-me tradition in following years.

Hope you all have blessed holidays, whatever you celebrate. See you next year. xx

I am so happy for you Connie, you have a lightness that must feel good.
Seems like a lot of positives. and I think you were more than ready for that. We all are, but some don't get there.

I forgot what I originally wanted to say, your work seems effortless, exquisite and so appealing. Done.

Oh, I wait patiently for the daylight to last longer. I'll wait to see what you are creating with that yarn!

Happy New Year! :)
I woke up in this 2020 with a feeling of wanting for a new start with a touch of something familiar. I haven't properly journaled for half a year, and decided to this morning and came across your blog. Your collages are so inspirational, I'm going to do a spread inspired by yours this morning and remind myself why I started journaling all that time ago :)

Hi Connie, I saved your site about a year or so ago and then, thru Margarete Miller, have just rediscovered you again! I am in total AWE of your glue pages in collage form! Oh my word Connie, you do AMAZING work. These creations look like they would take you forever to collect all the pieces, and try them out on your pages. Your creativity just blows me outta the water!
Do you have a couple reliable art sources where you find your goodies, or are you just always looking everywhere? So mind boggleing.
I also read on here, how you are in a lot of pain especially with the hips. I went thru something very similar about 20 years ago, arthritis, and had them both replaced at same time. It was a crazy year, along w some other huge issues, but bottom line Connie, I finally got my life back again.
TFS your work Connie! I just had to comment and give you some rays of hope!
