Autumn News

"News" is actually a misnomer, as there isn't any to speak of.

But hello, and Happy Autumn!

Thought I'd just post a few of my recent collages.

I'm well on my way into my knitted kimono -- both fronts are finished. In a day or two I'll start on the sleeves. I'm doing the back last this time.

I've been missing my guy, of course; otherwise all is well. I decided to wait on that 3rd tattoo; thought I'd put the money away instead, since I've been in one of my frugal moods for the last month or so.

More of the same for me for the duration: knitting, reading, collaging, enjoying living.

Hope y'all have a great autumn. xx

Oh how I love looking at your collages. There is so much to take in and you are so adept at a monochromatic look. Just spectacular. Gosh I wish I had figured out where you lived so I could visit on the way to SF. I have about twelve days remaining and I am loving every minute of this trip.

I love the fall colors of your collages! 'Tis the season for them! I hope you post pics of the kimono's progress! I'm so looking forward to fall weather, cocooning, making soups, etc. Your art puts me in that mood!

Wonderful eye candy! Fall is confused here, dropping leaves before changing color, everything's brown but it's HOT! I hope it's cooler there.

Good Day!
Well you have been away a while. It's nice to see your recent art. Hope the weather is to your liking. We have finally found the cooler temperatures, but that only means more yard work which I have put at the back of my mind. Have a nice weekend and please don't stay away so long.
xx, Carol

How do you go about collaging? Do you father the colors first? How do you decide the layout? Do you cut and tear the pieces? And what glue and substrate do you use?
