Patterns

My painting this week focused on patterns, circles and other rounded shapes.  I'm really comfortable with circles and their ilk.

So much for summer... The weather here has been miserable, as in overcast for entire days in a row, and cold.  Yesterday I turned on the heat in the house; I've had to put on wool socks a couple times in the last few days.  I wake up in the morning to find it's drizzled overnight, the street is wet, drops are falling off the eaves.

I'm finding that now I'm experiencing some S.A.D., whereas I wasn't bothered with it at all during our interminable rainy season.  The weather should be clement in the summertime.

I've been in a quiet mood recently, one of those times when I don't feel much like putting myself out there in any way.  Nothing is any different on the outside; I just feel like pulling inward and being outwardly quiet.

Have a great week, and a safe holiday if you're in the States or Canada ~ happy 150th Birthday, Canada!  Wish I could be there, wish I lived there...

I understand Connie- and as to SAD I have it bad- I have a small light for that. Loving your work the patterned waters color paintings are wonderful. I of course love your collages as well. Ron and I celebrated our 41st anniversary this weekend. Sending you love- Ron does too.

What a special treat this very hot Sunday evening to find your patterns paintings - they are most wonderfully done. The collages are also very engaging this week and had me spending time with each one appreciating all the pieces you have gathered and put together in one lovely whole. Taking quiet time for self is always a treasured gift..we all have differing needs for that but when that space is needed and taken it is a very good thing.
Namaste,

I am just loving the patterns. They are wonderful. I too have SAD. I am like a totally different person in the bad weather. I want to curl up and sleep. I do so get it. Hope you get some good weather soon. This climate change stuff is so scary.

Love them all, I too am a "circle girl", use them in most of my art. You are welcome to come visit me, sunny and in the 90s here, a little drizzle would be very nice....
