Gray Circle

Art Journal page, May 2014

The character playing accordion in that Stamphead ATC from Monday was Myron Florin, who played with Lawrence Welk.  The card went to Jacki in SoCal.

Thanks Connie!
I really like this collage, Connie!
I usually like a flat surface, but his works so well.
And, we need to start a circle club!
No dues or meetings, just a profuse use of circles! ;o)

Ah, circles ... so much to explore. I once did a whole sketchbook devoted to them, and barely scratched the surface!

Love those stampheads from the last few days. They look like they are fun to create. My parents loved Myron Florin. I treated them to a concert by him when they were in their 80's that they thoroughly enjoyed. I grew up watching Lawrence Welk and Lennon sisters. Remember those wholesome gals? Thanks for bringing back fun memories.

Thank heavens you posted the accordion player's name. I KNEW it was the fellow from Lawrence Welk's orchestra but I couldn't think of his name. My grandma used to make me watch his show every week when I was small. It brought back some very wonderful memories...sitting snuggled up to her side, Grandma tapping her foot and, sometimes, singing along. Me gritting my teeth.....
