Flea Market Finds

I went to the monthly Flea Market in Eureka yesterday.  This is what I bought ~ three issues of Little Folks magazine from 1924 and 1925.  And a nearly full bottle of Shaffer's ink, in a color that I needed anyhow.  How cool is that.  Total outflow ~ three dollars.

Oh my gosh, I remember the bottle of ink and the box ... such a flashback to my father's desk, thank you!

Oh my that bottle of ink brought back memories! My older brothers must have used fountain pens. I was fascinated with filling them from these jars - I think I was still in grade school.

I'd say that those are some pretty good finds.

Don't you just freaking love a swap meet/flea market?? There's not much I like better than strolling the aisles, never knowing what marvelous find might be in the next booth. Love the bottle of ink. Will you use the mags in collage work or are they keepers for your collection?

All that lot for $3 dollars? I'd say super cool!
The ink is new to me - we had Quink ink (still to be had) at school and used it till we were about 10 with a dip pen. This was a very messy business and not cool ... fortunately the ink wasn't permanent!

Skrip! what a blast from the past ... almost as resonant as Page's Mucilage, did you have that or was it a Canadian thing?
