Pattern Play

This week in Jane's class we've been focusing on playing with patterns on top of painted backgrounds.  These are my first two pieces, both 9 inches square.  This practice gets a little bit into drawing, which is good for me since "I don't draw."  All marks were made with either acrylic paint or various pens.

These really are wonderful, Connie. They should be framed and displayed.

A great exercise which I somehow missed yesterday. I especially like the contrasts in the top one - between the black, white and red colours and between the round and square shapes. Lovely!

These are enchanting, Connie! I particularly like the little detailed trails that you have running through them.
