Early Cruciform

This is one of the first paintings I did for the cruciform lesson in Jane's class.  Although it didn't totally meet the requirements of the project, I liked it then, and I still do.  This is 8 x 11 inches on watercolor paper.

This is lovely and delicate. I can really see why you like it so much. I love the interplay of the colours - the purple printed over the lilac and the aquamarine and beside the soft pale green - and the shape that to me suggests streets intersecting. Lovely!

Oh Connie, your work is fabulous. Beautiful and strong. I love how scrolling down your blog and seeing all the textures and designs. So very inspiring!

I like it too. You use a lot of purple which I almost never reach for, but obviously I should cause I've liked them all. The white bits of sequin waste catch my eye in this one.

Aren't "criteria" really just guidelines, suggestions rather than rules?
