Third Blogaversary

This month I'm celebrating three years as a blogger, and I'm giving away these two sweet fabric postcards.  All the fabrics were handmade by me.  The postcard backing is fabric as well.  I'll drop them in the mail to each of the winners.

In three years and with six blogs, I've made 2123 posts -- although this is just my 583rd post on this blog. Wow.

To enter yourself in the drawing(s) for the postcards, leave a comment here by Tuesday, January 25, say 6:00 pm PST, and I'll do a random drawing for two winners.  In your comment, let me know which card would be your first choice, and tell me something you've read on this blog that has inspired you in your art or life.

Thanks for a wonderful, fun three years -- and good luck!

Well done for three years of blogging :-) I would love either of the postcards as the turquoise on the left is my favourite colour while the red would liven up my world. As for inspiration from your blog I have been inspired by the way you combine fabric and digital imagery in your collages and by your beautiful fabrics. I am fairly new to dyeing and printing and am always interested to see what other people are doing in the field of surface design. I hope you enjoy the next 3 years of blogging!

Congratulations on 3 years and so many posts. I like both cards and would be delighted with one. Your collages inspire me to get to the studio and work.

Hi Connie!
Man, are you prolific or what?!! Congratulations. May your posts continue for many years to come...I say that somewhat selfishly!
I love both of your postcards, but the reddish one on the right is my favorite...I love red, and I love bright!
You have helped me in so many ways, but I've got to say that the one that jumps out first is with printing photos on fabric. You shared a lot from your personal experiences and were very patient with me and my unending questions! Thank you so very much!

Big Hugs,
Judy

Hi Connie,
I've been reading your blog for sometime now. It always inspires me to head to the studio and work on my own art quilts.

I would love to have either postcard and be happy to have it in my collection!

Happy Blogaversary, Connie - Your postcards are great - my favorite is the red one. I have been inspired by your posts on surface design, especially seeing how you re-worked cloth begun some time ago. Best wishes for many more years of blogging! I appreciate you. -sus

WOW three years! It seems like we have been sharing your artistic journey for longer than that. I love both of the postcards. I would have to say that it is your overall dedication to persevering with your art despite personal/financial or other hurdles that might have turned you away from your creative muse. You always share so much of the process and how you relate to it that it makes one feel like they are on the journey too and could be creative as well. Congratulations on the blog anniversary and thanks for a wonderful three years.

Oh, surely it's been longer than that? The most memorable was your concept of "Art Cloth" - I think it make a lot of us reassess what we do make and what we would like to be making. Then your studio shots, both in your former home and in your current place. Among them, I remember you had a place where you hung your then-handwoven cloth and contemplated embellishment/finishing. I've subsequently copied the idea, but I seem to forget about them once they are there because mine is in my stash room, and my main looms are downstairs.

Happy bloggiversary, Connie. May there be three, and more, years of happy chronicling of your art.

(My green postcard which sits permanently on my laptop keyboard that I don't use - I have a giant keyboard - would like a pink companion. ) :->

Oh, you KNOW I would love one of these postcards - I lean toward the blue/green one, although as someone else has said, I should probably say the red one to liven up my world.

Your collages, particularly with your photo manipulations have been inspiring to me. Something about them and the way you described them suddenly made something click in my head. I don't know if inspirational is the right word, but I also have gained strength from reading your doubts and questions which mirrored my own, past or present. It's helpful to know one is not alone in the struggle part of being creative, especially when so many do nothing but put a happy spin on everything they do - how unrealistic!

Best of luck in this new year and thank you for many blog posts of visual delights!

Congrats on 3 years, Connie! And I love both cards, but I think the red is my fave! Your shibori favrics are a constant inspiration to me, as well as how you mix them and embellish with stitching and other elements. Thanks for sharing your work with us!

I'm drawn to the hot pink... because that is my color. Your art cloth and quilts have always been inspiring, and I can't imagine keeping up so many blogs. I bow to the master!!!

Congratulations! I've followed you for a year & was the lucky winner of some of your printed cards, my first win. Then you kindly joined me in the milestone of 50 sending me a beautiful green with golden squares postcard.

You have courage when you refuse to be daunted by silly gallery/competition rules & your surfaces are stunning. Inspiring in so many ways!

I'd love a chance of the Rose card, of course ;)

Your cloth is inspiring, as is your approach to life's changes.

I'm new to surface design, and I have been inspired by virtually everything I have seen on your blog so far. If I have to pick out some specific things, I'd have to say the shibori, discharged, and reworked pieces.

I'd LOVE to win the red card.

Thanks for the nice comment you left on my blog. I really appreciate it.

Congratulations! I've been inspired by seeing your incredible photo collages and then your photos turned into beautiful fabrics and fiber art. I would love to receive either of your postcards!

I would be just plain happy with either card. Blue and green are my current favorite color though. You inspire me to keep working with paint and my stamping to produce more art work. I do a lot of traditional quilting as well, but I aspire to produce more art quilting.
