The Goods

Finally something to show for my work this week! The first four completed postcards. Now that I've got my process down, they'll go more quickly from here on out.

I looked all over town the other day for a rubber stamp that said "Post Card," but couldn't find anything here (of course!). No matter, I like what I came up with better! I printed wording on fabric and zigzagged it on the backs with transparent thread. Worked like a charm and adds even more handmade appeal.

We've had absolutely beautiful weather today, right from the get go...sunshine, breeze, warm temps. The sun really lifts my spirits, so I've had a wonderful day. Hope you have too!

Lovely cards.... Though I like what you did re Postcards, have you thought of tiny screen printing as well? Would that work, or is that felt?

The backing fabric is muslin. I think screen printing would be a lot messier and less controllable. Anyhow, glad you like 'em!

I use the water color paper postcards. They are easier for people to write on and they seem to like them. I like your solution, however!!

Yummy yum. I stopped making postcards because they were more difficult for me than the large pieces but this makes me think I should go back to them.

Great postcards. I hate having to send them through the mail and have them get dirty......but I guess that's just what a post card does...
