Journal in Process

These are a few page spreads from another journal I'm currently working in, my Summer-Fall 2013 shabby-style journal, which I sometimes call my Everyday Journal although I don't write in it everyday.  Was meant for the second half of last year but I'm still working in it.  I only do a couple of pages a week, with snippets of what I've been up to art-wise, mostly.

I love making these journals because they're ideal for using up bits of paper and sometimes fabric to build the pages (the photo at the bottom of the post shows the journal after being constructed, before I began working in it).  I add further embellishments and adornments as I go along.

At the rate I'm going ~ I still have one of four signatures left ~ this will probably take me through winter and into spring.  On average it's taking me about nine months to complete one of these (this is my 3rd shabby-style journal).

Connie I love this. It is a bit like how Judy Wise journals- yours is so full of cool stuff! You are so awesome.

This is lovely, Connie. I don't keep a journal - just sketch books of one kind or another which are much less colourful than these. Maybe I need to beef up the colour content a bit!

Gah! This is *great*! I didn't know you kept a journal like this. Love how busy it is. I have a tough time doing that, I think I quit way too soon. With these pages as a shining example, I'm going to work at making my A Documented Life planner jammed packed with good stuff!

I love the colors, too! Your pleasure in it is palpable. Shabby chic becomes more than a style!

Connie, I love the work/play in these journals. I am about to leave on a trip and couldn't figure out what kind of journal to take. I think I've figured it out, although I will probably leave a little more blank space for gluing in things that I pick up on my travels. Really love the little journaling spaces that you created. What fun!
